Top 10 Reasons to Pick a Cabin over a Hotel

If you’re looking for a more fun, spacious, relaxing, and overall convenient stay during your next Smoky Mountain vacation, check out our Pigeon Forge cabins! The list could go on and on, but below are our top 10 ways cabins beat hotels for your vacation in the mountains!

  1. They offer more space.
Hotel rooms are cramped. Unless you get the Penthouse Suite, you’ll likely be trying to find space for your suitcases, attempting to set up a Pack ‘n Play in a tight space between 2 beds, and shoving coffeemakers over to make room for purses, electronics, and shopping bags. Imagine heading to the Great Smoky Mountains with your hiking gear, a few of your kids’ favorite toys, or the few extra outfits you were wanting pack, knowing that you’ll have plenty of room for everything. Our Pigeon Forge cabins make that possible. If you’re traveling as a couple, our 1-2 bedroom cabins will be perfectly sized for a romantic weekend away. For families, our 3-6 bedroom properties are nice and spacious. We even have large group lodges for reunions, retreats, and big family vacations!
  2. They encourage family time.
One of the great things about vacation is the quality time you get with family and friends. Getting away to the Smokies is a great way to reconnect with those you love, playing, relaxing, and reminiscing. Our cabins offer some great shared living spaces – including comfortable living rooms, rec rooms with games, dining areas, and spacious decks – that encourage guests to gather together. Fun (and private) places to hang out are something you won’t get in a hotel room.
  3. They feel like a home away from home.
With comfy sofas in inviting living rooms, fireplaces (gas, electric, and wood-burning), big screen TVs, DVD players, fully equipped kitchens, dining rooms, closets, and high-speed Internet in many of the cabins, you’ll find that you feel right at home, which is a feeling you probably won’t get in any hotel room.
  4. They’re convenient.
Pigeon Forge is known for its many family-friendly attractions, a wide variety of restaurants, and tons of great shopping. Many of our cabins are located just minutes from the bustling Parkway in downtown Pigeon Forge, so you’ll have a short drive and easy access to all the fun. Just give us a call at 866.513.7885 and we can help find the cabin that’s perfectly located for you.
  5. They boast better views.
In Pigeon Forge, you’ll find that the best views are found high atop the mountains. When you begin a drive through the mountains, you’ll find cabins along those winding roads – not a lot of hotels. Our cabins offer a variety of views, but many feature some spectacular mountain views that you won’t get at a downtown hotel. If you want to enjoy those Smoky Mountain sunrises and sunsets, look out over the changing leaves in the fall, or have a bird’s-eye view of the valleys, a cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains is the way to go.
  6. You can cook your own meals.
All of our cabins come with at least a kitchenette, and almost all of them feature a fully equipped kitchen with full-size refrigerator, oven/stove, dishwasher, microwave, and conveniences like a coffeemaker, blender, cooking tools, and ample dishes, glassware, and utensils for the number of guests the cabin sleeps. Some hotels include kitchenettes, but you won’t find the spacious, beautiful kitchens many of our cabins include at a hotel. You can pick up groceries (or just your favorite snacks) to make meals in the cabin for a budget-friendly getaway, a romantic dinner, or a holiday meal. In some of our large group lodges, you’ll even have double appliances making it easy to cook for your large group.
  7. They’re budget friendly.
Many hotels start at around $100+ a night. At Pigeon Forge, TN Cabins, we have a nice selection of budget-friendly cabins starting at around $100 a night, and of course, you can sleep more in them than a hotel room! That means you can come with your family or a group of friends and split the bill, making a vacation that won’t break the bank. And you’ll have some extra cash for attractions and shopping!
  8. You can spend the day there.
Sometimes you just don’t feel like getting out, but when you stay in a hotel, you are probably not going to spend the entire day hanging out in your room. If you stay in a spacious Pigeon Forge cabin, you’ll find that there are enough amenities to keep you comfortable and having fun all day. Pick a cabin with games, a cozy living area, and some great outdoor spaces, and you can have lazy days around the cabin without getting bored or cramped.
  9. They’re more private.
Instead of staying in a hotel with kids running up and down the hallway, the ice machine banging around all night, or loud TVs through the paper-thin walls, consider staying in your own private cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains! Enjoy peaceful nights or play during the day without worry of disturbing someone so nearby. If you want even more privacy, give us a call and ask about a secluded cabin. Some don’t have any other cabins in view!
  10. They feature something for everyone.
Our Pigeon Forge cabins are loaded with amenities. We really have something for everyone! Want to be entertained? We have big screen TVs, Blu-ray and DVD players, VCRs, PlayStations and Wiis, pool tables, foosball tables, air hockey tables, TVs in bedrooms, private home theaters, private indoor pools, access to community amenities, HD movie channels, and board games. Want to relax? How about an outdoor hot tub, indoor jetted tub, sauna, rocking chairs, porch swing, king-size bed, peaceful waterfront location, or inviting fireplace?
