Food, Family, and Fun at the Sevier County Fair

Now celebrating 80 years, the Sevier County Fair is coming back to the Smokies this fall from September 7 through September 12. This year’s fair—themed “It’s All About the Kids!”—is dedicated to the memory of Phillip W. Crawford (1957–2015), who is credited with working hard to keep the fair going so it can always serve as a special memory for kids everywhere. Keep his dream alive by bringing your own little ones to enjoy all the fun that’s in store at the Sevier County Fair this fall.

What
A favorite tradition established in 1935, the Sevier County Fair has plenty of activities to keep your family entertained during your Smoky Mountain stay. At 6 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, you can catch the Dairy and Cattle Show as well as the Fairest of the Fair Pageant. Other fun activities on those nights include the Ice Cream Eating Contest and the Boy Scouts Dutch Oven Cookoff.

Wednesday offers the Volunteer Chevrolet Lego Build, the Open Beef Cattle Show, and the Tractor Olympics located in the Arena. Thursday’s main event is the Lumberjack Feud Show—and if you like it, then be sure to take your family to the Lumberjack Feud Dinner Show located on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge. This rip-roaring show complete with high-flying timber dogs and chainsaw carvings is a totally unique experience your family will never forget!
Friday’s and Saturday’s events at the fair include the Youth Talent Show, Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest, Humane Society Dog Show, Koi Drag Racing, and Firehouse Subs Kid’s Funky Fun Night in the Little Red Barn Theater. And these are just a few of the events on this year’s schedule—not to mention the Sevier County Fair will be loaded with fun rides and exhibits throughout that you can enjoy every day!
