Dining with a View in Pigeon Forge

Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, has so much to offer its visitors, not the least of which is fabulous dinning! There are endless numbers of places to get your fill of vitals. But let’s up the ante. What about places that have beautiful or interesting scenery as well as a nice spread? They can indeed be found!

The Old Mill: For hearty, old-fashioned cuisine and beautiful Southern ambiance, The Old Mill is the place to be. From your window seat you will be soothed by watching the water flow over the dam and cascade into the waters below or be mesmerized by the steady turning of the mill wheel. The Old Mill is located at 175 Old Mill Avenue at Traffic Light number 7.

The Brass Lantern: The legendary Brass Lantern has reopened! The Brass Lantern is now located in the Edgewater Hotel and has a beautiful view over the river. Many proclaim it the most romantic place to eat in Gatlinburg! The food is wonderful, the service is top notch, and the view is serene.

The Peddler Steakhouse: This is one of the most popular restaurants among tourists and locals. If you want to come partake in their delectable prime rib, it might be a good idea to call ahead! Besides wonderful food, they have romantic tables for two by the windows or you can do even better and request river view seating. You are sure to enjoy both the scenery and the view during this dining experience.

Buckberry Creek: If I were giving an award for restaurant with the best view, it would go to Buckberry Creek. Not only is the view out the windows breath taking, the scenery inside is warm and intriguing. This is one of the only fine dining experiences you will run across while visiting the Smokies. Their menu uses only local and seasonal ingredients, and each plate offers a view all its own. This is not just food, it is art.

The Great Smoky Mountains in Pigeon Forge are so beautiful, that in truth, you could have a picnic by any stream or on the side of any mountain and have a view fit for a king. But if you are looking for a little more service, these restaurants should help you get started on a journey of food for the appetite and the eyes.
