Rod Run 2011

If you have ever visited Pigeon Forge before, you know that it is well known for its car shows. The town draws hundreds of thousands of participants as well as spectators every year with its array of car shows and events – more than four per year! This year’s Grand Fall Rod Run will take place on September 15th through 19th at the Grand Hotel and Convention center in Pigeon Forge. This event is fun for the whole family and offers fun and games for everyone – this is a show you won’t want to miss!

Offering accolades and prizes, car owners love to come out both to show off their prized vehicles as well as compete for money and other awards. However, this car show isn’t just for owners – this Rod Run offers great entertainment for anyone who owns a car or would like to learn more about automobiles. Long time car enthusiasts and newcomers alike will enjoy the interactive displays at Rod Run. During this huge Pigeon Forge event, many vendors display new products, give away samples and participate in swap meets.

Of course, if you have any questions about your automobile, there will be plenty of people there to answer them! Whether you’re just learning the basics or have an intense question, car owners and lovers will be there to help you in any way they can. This event isn’t only for hot rod owners – it’s for everyone!

The top twenty-five cars will be awarded prizes, while the top five cars will receive cash prizes. This event packs out the Parkway every year, so if you’re looking to avoid the confusion, steer clear of downtown! Use side streets as an alternative, and if you’re looking to go out to eat, try eating at off hours such as 2PM or 5PM as opposed to 7PM or 8PM. This will cut back on your family’s frustration and leave you without such a lengthy wait at your favorite Pigeon Forge restaurant.
