Description

This cozy retreat just a few miles from downtown Pigeon Forge is intimate enough for honeymooners and couples, yet spacious and comfortable enough for a family (or 2) or a small group of friends. Comfortable bedrooms are retreats after long days, and a fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to create meals in the cabin. The cabin’s blend of entertaining and relaxing amenities makes it a great pick if you like spending some extra time in the cabin.

At Close to Heaven, start your day sipping coffee in the rocking chairs or watching TV as you get ready in your room. Head into town for a fun day of exploring, and then head back to picnic on the deck, unwind in the hot tub, kick back in your spacious living room (with a big screen TV), play pool, or enjoy dinner in the cabin. Just minutes from the restaurants, dinner shows, stores, and attractions of Pigeon Forge (and neighboring Gatlinburg not far away), this charming Pigeon Forge cabin offers the best of both worlds: wooded views in a peaceful mountain setting and a location near the city’s excitement.

Close to Heaven also has lots of conveniences, including a Blu-ray player, a flat, paved driveway for easy arrivals and parking, a charcoal grill for cookouts with the group, wireless internet that makes it easy to stay connected or read about events on our blog, and a washer/dryer. Everything at Close to Heaven adds up to a fun, comfortable, and memorable getaway with family and friends in the Great Smoky Mountains!

Living Room
One of the main reasons you get away is to spend some quality time with family or friends. The open floorplan of Close to Heaven is a great place to do this, because you can visit and hang out as you relax in the living room, make snacks in the kitchen, or have a bite to eat at the dining table. In the living room, cozy up on the couch, kick back in the upholstered chair with an ottoman, relax on the padded log bench, or sit back in a rustic (but padded) rocking chair and flip on the big screen TV. Lots of seating means the whole group can hang out and watch TV together, and plenty of floor space means kids can put down some blankets and pillows or play board games while watching a movie. If you have small ones, you’ll have room for them to crawl and toddle around on the area rug.

The living room also has a gas fireplace that makes the room feel cozy, so it’s a great place to just relax. If you’re here for the holidays, pile up your presents and enjoy some fun family time in this great space. Plus, you’re just steps from the kitchen, so you can set out a buffet of snacks on the dining room table and easily grab a bite while you’re hanging out.

Kitchen
Close to Heaven’s fully equipped kitchen is a big perk when you’re away from home. It gives you a chance to spend some extra time in the cabin, whether you’re making meals for the group or ordering takeout or catering. You’ll have countertop essentials like a knife set, electric can opener, coffeemaker, and toaster, along with full-size appliances. With a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and stove/oven, you’ll have the tools to cook your own meals, store leftovers, or just have a place to whip up snacks for afternoons in the cabin.

You can stop by the grocery store before heading to the cabin or pick up local treats, mixes, jams, and salsas at The Old Mill or The Apple Barn for something extra-special at the cabin. From pancakes and biscuits to apple butter and gravy, they have mixes and condiments that are great for homemade meals in the mountains.

Dining Area
There are plenty of restaurants to choose from downtown, from Italian, Mexican, and German to burgers, seafood, and barbecue. But sometimes you want to make your own meals, and having a dining room in your own cabin is perfect for that. The table for 4 is great for intimate meals, and there is plenty of space in the living room if you have more guests. Whether you’re here with family or friends, a dining room in your kitchen will be a great place to gather together for good food and great memories.

Rec Room
Miniature golf courses, laser tag arenas, go kart tracks, dinner shows, world-class attractions, museums, arcades…Pigeon Forge’s lineup of fun is truly impressive, with tons of things for kids and adults to do. But at Close to Heaven, you don’t even have to leave the cabin for entertainment. When you want to stay in the cabin and want to have fun, head downstairs. You’ll have your own rec room in the cabin, where you can play a few rounds of pool or play some music on the stereo. There are bar stools and a padded bench, so guests can hang out between games or on a lazy afternoon in the cabin.

Bedrooms
Whether you spend your days hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, strolling along the Parkway, playing at WonderWorks, touring the Titanic, shopping at the outlets, eating your weight in fudge, or exploring The Island in Pigeon Forge, you’ll want a comfortable, relaxing place to rest at the end of the day. In Close to Heaven, 2 cozy bedrooms offer just that.

Each bedroom in this Pigeon Forge cabin has a king-size bed, its own flatscreen TV, and its own bathroom. That means more privacy and space – and no fighting over the remote. The bedrooms feel cozy yet spacious and offer homey conveniences like bedside lamps and dressers for unpacking on longer stays. Both bedrooms also offer tree-lined views, adding to the peaceful mountain feel.

Outdoor Spaces
With trees lining the back decks at Close to Heaven, every season will be unique and beautiful. Grab a cup of coffee, sit in a rocking chair, and enjoy the spectacular hues of red, gold, and orange on the trees in fall. Climb into the hot tub and soothe tired muscles as the snow falls gently over the branches in winter. Grill some burgers and have a family meal at the picnic table in summer. Have a glass of lemonade and a sweet treat from downtown as you unwind on the porch swing in spring. Year-round, this charming Pigeon Forge cabin offers great outdoor spaces.

Other Amenities
Close to Heaven offers lots of amenities to make stays easier, more comfortable, and more fun. You can take advantage of the wireless internet, pack light and keep clothes fresh with the washer/dryer, or bring along your favorite movies to watch with the Blu-ray player. Plus, Close to Heaven offers community pool access in the Pin Oak View resort, so summer days can be spent splashing around and cooling off.

My family loved it.

My family loved it. The teens stayed downstairs. It was our first time to play pool as a family. The place is in a great location. My teens loved Behind the lense which is right down the hill. The master room doors need to be arranged differently. Our code did not work at first and management was very helpful. We had good family time and then we all had our own space. Also, bring your own hair dryer.
