Holiday Fun in Your Pigeon Forge Cabin

What is it about Pigeon Forge that makes it such a popular holiday destination? Is it the amazing spectacle of lights that greets you as soon as you arrive to the Smokies? Each year, the Pigeon Forge Winterfest tradition kicks off in early November and continues through the end of February. You can view literally MILLIONS of twinkling holiday lights throughout Pigeon Forge and surrounding cities. From displays featuring animals native to the Great Smoky Mountains to favorite holiday characters and designs, Pigeon Forge Winterfest is sure to brighten up your Christmas season in 2015!

Or maybe it’s Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas that makes Pigeon Forge so special. During the holiday season, the South’s favorite theme park transforms into a winter wonderland with brightly colored lights and decorated Christmas trees. You can watch original holiday shows, including the Dollywood adaption of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol (featuring a holographic appearance from Dolly herself!), and enjoy a Christmas parade every afternoon. Also at Dollywood this Christmas, bring the kids to meet Santa and his friends from the North Pole. Once you bring the family to this Smoky Mountain Christmas event, you’ll know why it’s been voted the winner of “America’s Best Christmas Event” 7 times in a row!

While Pigeon Forge is filled with amazing Christmas events and jaw-dropping Christmas décor, what really makes it the perfect holiday destination are our cozy winter cabins nestled in the Smoky Mountain hills. Why? Because these cozy cabins are where you’ll make some of your most treasured Smoky Mountain memories simply spending time with the people you love.

In our Pigeon Forge cabins, the possibilities are endless for your holiday fun. Bring friends and family to enjoy an outdoor hot tub with views of the valley. You can sip on glasses of Smoky Mountain wine and share favorite memories from childhood Christmases long ago. Just this Christmas I heard a precious story about my dad when he was in the third grade. He told me about learning the true meaning of Christmas after receiving a used toy from the poorest kid in his class. Spending time together on your Smoky Mountain porch with a mug of hot cocoa in your hand, this is the perfect moment to share the precious memories of your childhood as well.

Maybe you prefer a cabin with a wood-burning fireplace. The sounds of the crackling fire remind you of camping under the stars or inspire you to sing Christmas carols with an acoustic guitar and your kids or grandkids at your knees. In almost all of our cabins you’ll find a full-size kitchen where you can make a pot of hot apple cider the way your Grandma used to make it. Or you can make a tray of homemade sugar cookies and help your kids with the decorations so Santa has something special to eat when he comes to deliver his presents. Whether your family has a traditional holiday meal on Christmas day or just a simple pancake breakfast on Christmas morning, you can carry on these holiday traditions (and start new ones!) in our Pigeon Forge cabins.

And, of course, one of the best parts about getting the family together and staying in one of our Pigeon Forge cabins is the amount of fun you can have! We have large-group cabins with plenty of space for a Dirty Santa gift exchange. Or you might get the group together for a round of Catchphrase in your favorite holiday pajamas. Get creative with your Pigeon Forge getaway and take advantage of all the fun amenities our cabins have to offer. We have cabins with almost every kind of game table you can think of—from air hockey to pool to foosball. We have cabins with private theater rooms where you can watch your favorite holiday movies. And nearly all of our cabins have large dining tables where you can set up supplies for a craft night or a gingerbread house party.

However you celebrate the holidays, our Pigeon Forge cabins will provide you and your loved ones with a warm, comfortable, entertaining, and relaxing space this Christmas season. Soak in the beauty of the Smoky Mountains, join the excitement of Pigeon Forge attractions, but most important, enjoy spending time with one another for an unforgettable holiday season in 2015!
