Quiltfest – Pigeon Forge
If
you’re a quilting enthusiast then March 12-16, 2008 is the time
you’ll want to travel to Pigeon Forge, TN. This Pigeon Forge
event is hosted by the Peacemakers and Sevier Valley Quilters
Guilds. This is the 14th annual A Mountain Quiltfest
event that has been attracting more than 20,000 quilters a year.
Join in for quilting lessons and fellowship with other
quilters. The best quilters, crafters and teachers all go to
Pigeon Forge, TN for shows, exhibits, classes and seminars.
Teachers come in from all over the United States. Some of the
names you will see are Sue Nichols of Ann Arbor, MI, Carol Doak
of Windham, NH and JoAnne Belling of Des Moines, Iowa, and many
more talented teachers. Quiltfest has one several quilting
awards over the past years including “Festival of the Year” in
2004 and won honors as a “Top 20 Event”. Whether you’re just
starting out with your obsession of quilting or if you’ve been
quilting since you were able to walk there are plenty of classes
and lectures that will be held for everyone of all skill levels.
This year the expected participation is to be over 20,000, there
are going to be more than 70 instructional classes, more than
300 quilts on display and 8 master instructors to teach. Can you
believe this is available in our quaint town of Pigeon Forge,
TN.? Classes start as early as 8:30 am and can go until 9:00
pm. Classes are held at Pottery Café, Holiday Inn Express, and
Music Road Convention Center. So you will be able to have your
quilting experience all over Pigeon Forge, TN. Join in on the
quilting, fellowship and learning in the great city of
Pigeon
Forge, TN. Not only will you learn from your teachers but from
others as well. Make new friends and over the years you will
