  Saddle-up! Pigeon Forge Event

Join Pigeon Forge, TN as they celebrate the 8th annual Saddle Up! event. This year it will be held from Feb. 21-24, 2008. Saddle Up! celebrates the western musicians and poets by bringing them all to one central location. Come see Wylie and the Wild West, Dennis Flynn, Chris Isaacs, Sourdough Slim and many other talents as the help Pigeon Forge, TN celebrate the American West. Enjoy a Chuckwagon Jamboree at Fiddler’s Feast in Pigeon Forge, TN. Dinner performances will be by Colorado Wrangles, Roy Rogers, Jr. and the High Riders. All performances will be held at Country Tonite Theatre and American Jukebox Theatre. There’s also a dance you’re not going to want to miss that will be help at the Pigeon Forge Middle School. Cowboy Church will be held at the Stages West.

The performances will consist of yodeling by Wylie and the Wild West. Sons of the San Joaquin is a trio of singers who harmonized about love of the west. Poet Yvonne Hollenbeck is a published cowgirl who will recite for you and Jean Prescott is known for her contributions to Texas music and history. Cowboy singer Jeff Gore will serenade you and Sourdough Slim will have you laughing with his unique combinations of singing, yodeling and comedy accented by his accordion and ukulele. A weekend pass that gets you into all of these Pigeon Forge events except Cowboy Symphony will be $50 +tax. Day passes are $30 +tax and tickets for the Cowboy Symphony are $20 +tax. Anyone 17 years of age and younger are free. The weekend passes and Cowboy Symphony tickets will be sold at the Country Tonite Theatre, 1-800-792-4308. Day passes will be sold at the American Jukebox Theatre. The dance will be $5 per person for anyone 18 years of age and up and free for 17 and under. Those proceeds will go to the Pigeon Forge Middle School. Cowboy Church is free and will be followed by a minimum $5 donation chuck wagon lunch that benefit’s the Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch in Amarillo, TX.
