Springfest - Pigeon Forge Event

Springfest is the official beginning of springtime in the small town of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Springfest is also the beginning of a celebration that is packed full of three months of down home fun. Many events come along with Springfest and these events include: quilt fest, StringTime in the Smokey Mountains, the Dolly Parade, Spring Grand Rod Run and Dollywood’s Festival of Nations. Springfest is always host to the popular Dolly Parade. In this parade Dolly Parton, the Grand Marshal, will ride atop a beautiful float of her annual parade in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. This parade takes place right on the Parkway as beautiful floats, marching bands and celebrities from the local area pass right on by.

Downtown Pigeon Forge will also be decorated with colorful flowers, which just adds an extra touch to the wonderful parade. Stringfest is also a time for Stringtime in the Smokey Mountains. StringTime in the Smokey Mountains is a time for some of the area’s best Appalachian crafters allowing vendors to demonstrate their skills and share their knowledge with every visitor that comes through Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Springfest also brings some hometown mountain music to the area when performers can either perform on stage or give everyone a chance to get into the musical acts. Old-fashioned games can by enjoyed and antique farm equipment just adds something a little bit more special to the event.

That’s not all though, Springfest in the Smokey Mountains will also give you a chance to become up close and personal with classic cars from around the world for show and for competition. The spring Grand Rod Run kicks off the car show season with classic Fords, Chevy’s and Gold Wings. These cars are available for each visitor to stop by and take a look at the inside, outside and even under the hood. The Spring Grand Rod Run is a very popular event for Springfest and many people come to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee every year for the Spring Grand Rod Run.
