          Storytelling festival-Pigeon Forge Event    

The Annual Smoky Mountains Storytelling Festival™ is held every year in Pigeon Forge, TN in the month of February. This special Pigeon Forge event brings people to Pigeon Forge to share their abilities in workshops on stages for a few days of storytelling and learning fun.  The list of performing changes year after year as they travel from as far as from West Virginia, California, New York and all over the United States of America.

In years past people such as Waddie Mitchell, from Nevada has performed; Bill Lep, who has been a five time winner of the West Virginia liars contest. So we know he is good at telling stories.  Their have also been storytellers of those who are born out of Latin America that are able to come and tell stories from their countries allowing a us to learn and experience what their cultures have to offer.  Some speakers come in teams such as Mitch and Martha Weiss, who are husband and wife and have won awards together for their accomplishments in the storytelling world. Pigeon Forge, TN is honored that they are able to have this story telling event year after year. This event adds to the wonderful cultured of the Pigeon Forge, TN community.

This Pigeon Forge event also holds performers that are 17 years old and younger that will be competing during the weekend for the title of Grand Torchbearer.

Don not forget to miss on the ending of this event will Old Mill Haunts ‘n’ Haints Tales of ghost stories, appropriate for the whole family.

All storytelling events including concerts and workshops will take place at the American Jukebox Theater. Day passes for this Pigeon Forge, TN event are $10 for adults and free for children.
