Mountain Valley Winery near Pigeon Forge, TN

Mountain Valley Winery is the largest winery in Tennessee and is located only minutes away from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Dollywood and the Smokey Mountain National Park. This winery is open to everyone without a charge. This would be a wonderful activity for the adults and maybe even young adults who are with you on your Pigeon Forge vacation. The Mountain Valley Winery offers you the opportunity to take a tour to see how much work goes into the wine making. Then at the end do a wine tasting. They have several different wines to taste and they give you enough time to taste and decide what wine you would like to buy. Their wine is sold by the bottle or by the case.

They have a wide selection of wines no matter what kind of wine you enjoy. They have several award winning wines available. They have dry wines such as Cascade White, Chardonnay, Cynthiana, and Merlot. Their Semi-Sweet Wines include Mountain Valley White and Blush and Chambourcin. They also have Dessert Wines like Muscadine, Collier Reserve, Mountain Valley Red, Mountain Berry, Blackberry and Mountain Peach. All of their wines range from $10.99 to $13.99 by the bottle. So these wines are not out of range for most people.

Their wines are made at Mountain Valley Winery and the grapes come from a local vineyard just down from Pigeon Forge, TN. The process that this Pigeon Forge Winery uses is that at the peak of growth grapes are plucked and crushed. Stainless steel pumps then filtered and pumped into another tank where the yeast is added. Here, the grape juice becomes wine. When the wine is ready to be bottled case of empty bottles are lined up on a conveyer belt. The bottling machine performs the steps of washing the bottles, removing oxygen, pumping wine into the bottles and then corking, labeling and cap sealing the bottles. All of this just minuets from your Pigeon Forge Cabin.

Don’t just take my word on it though. Next time you’re at a Pigeon Forge Cabins For You cabin be sure to stop by the Mountain Valley Winery to take a tour and watch how the wine process goes. Mountain Valley Winery is located at 2174 Parkway in Pigeon Forge, TN. The hours are January 1st- February 28th from 9:00 am- 6:00 pm and March 1st to December 31st from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm (eastern time).
