Pigeon Forge Parks and Recreation
If your are planning a trip to Pigeon Forge and looking to spend
sometime outdoors with the family be sure to visit the
recreational centers in Pigeon Forge. The city of Pigeon Forge
has two main parks: the City Park and Patriot Park.
The City Park sets on 18 acres. The park includes a huge variety
of things to do. There is a lighted walking trail ending at 1.25
miles for those who love to exercise. Or possibly if you and the
family want to get a friendly game of softball / baseball going
there are five different ball fields at the City Park to play
on. Would rather shoot hoops? Don’t worry there is also two
paved basketball courts for your enjoyment. You can bring your
group down there to start a game or you can join in on a game
that is already going on. Just bring your shoes and an extra
ball and make some friends while you are there. For those hot
summer Smokey Mountain days there is an outdoor swimming pool to
swim in or lay by. This is a great way to beat the heat and keep
the kids occupied while in Pigeon Forge, TN. For the children
and child like adults there are two playgrounds. Some other
activities you may enjoy that this park has to offer is a
horseshoe pit, volleyball court, and pavilions to set under the
shady while you enjoy a snack.
The Patriot Park sits on 16 acres. There is a .5 mile lighted
walking trail just short enough to do twice if you want! The
trails are a great way to get back to nature or to have a nice
walk alone, or to take the whole family for a family outing.
These days kids have less and less time outdoors so this will a
great way to get your kids outside and away form the TV. This
park also includes three soccer fields to play on. Patriot Park
would be the perfect place to go if you were planning a picnic.
They offer 16 picnic tables and 18 park benches. Don’t worry
there is also a huge pavilion to set under to get out of the hot
sun. So be sure to bring the kids along to visit the
recreational parks - there is plenty of activities for all
ages!!
