The Old Mill Restaurant has been a long-time favorite of Pigeon Forge vacationers. Their southern cuisine has been charming guests with Tennessee staples such as country-fried steak, chicken and dumplings and sugar cured ham for years. Their family style dining experience combined with generous portions of vegetables has kept Pigeon Forge regulars returning year after year. Just across the street, however, is another unique dining experience, The Old Mill Pottery House Café and Grill. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, this Old Mill extension has been wowing its loyal patrons since day one!

Located at Traffic Light #7 on Old Mill Avenue, The Old Mill Pottery House is one of the finest, most picturesque dining locations in Pigeon Forge. Perched along Little Pigeon River, this intimate dining experience takes place in a building that looks somewhat like a modified house. The atmosphere is rustic yet modern; featuring exposed wooden beams and ductwork to add a slightly unfinished touch to the space. The landscaped lawn and gazebo provide an immaculate and five-star atmosphere to this Smoky Mountain gem.

Featuring a more diverse menu than the original Old Mill, the Pottery House serves up staples such as steaks, local rainbow trout and fresh seafood. Their specialty breads are made right in the Old Mill – from the grinding of the grains to the baking of the loaf. Through their years of experience, they have perfecting the bread baking technique and serve up a practically perfect piece – every time! Another interesting feature of the Pottery House is, of course, the pottery! All plates, bowls and salt shakers that you see in the restaurant have been crafted next door by the skilled workers at Pigeon River Pottery next door.

If you’re wondering what to order or simply can’t decide, we have good news for you – you can’t go wrong! Every menu item that the Pottery House boasts has received rave reviews. For an appetizer, start off with loaded homemade potato chips or fried dill pickles – they are both a staple of the restaurant and are sure to please everyone at your table. Their fresh fruit and chicken salad plate makes for an excellent summertime meal, while their Smoky Mountain cheese steak sandwich will tickle your fancy no matter what the temperature. Just make sure you save room for dessert – their homemade lemon pie and carrot cake are simply delicious!
