The screened porch, outdoor fire pit (with fire wood provided), and wooded surroundings are highlights of this property. The king bed and bath on the lower floor offer a private space for the guests in this area. This is a compact cabin that was sufficient for our party of 3 (would probably feel tight with 5-6). The access roads are mostly paved but there are stretches of gravel, a short one-lane inclined gravel road (the cabin’s road). Access to groceries or restaurants is about 25 minutes (not many miles but slow traveling roads). This cabin’s property is wooded and we were able to see deer and fox. It’s very quiet, except for the acorns and hickory nuts hitting the metal roofs of houses in the area! No cell service available but I was able to text family members via the house wifi (we all have Apple phones). I would have liked more “how-to” details about the house (ex: printed manual for operating the fireplace, etc.). Overall, a comfortable and nice stay for a mountain get-away.
