Inside this 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom Pigeon Forge cabin for up to 12 guests, enjoy a stretching wall of windows bringing in lots of natural light, sofas cozied up around a big-screen TV, and an inviting gas fireplace for those cool nights tucked away in the Great Smoky Mountains.
When you want to play, check out the game room – with its own fireplace – to hang out on the comfy seating, pile up snacks and drinks on the coffee table, challenge someone to a game of foosball, play around on the air hockey table, or just watch TV, use the Wi-Fi, and hang out. When you’re ready to relax, soak away in the outdoor hot tub, gather on the deck with great views, or head to the bedrooms for some much-needed rest. You’ll find 2 king beds, 2 queen beds, 1 twin trundle daybed, and 1 sleeper sofa.
Snail’s Pace Chalet is also outfitted with lots of conveniences, including a fully equipped kitchen, a charcoal grill for cookouts, a washer/dryer so you can pack light, and access to community amenities, including a pool for those hot summer days, a walking trail, and a playground for the kids!
Living Room
Ready to unwind after a long day exploring the area? Find your peace in the living room of Snail’s Pace Chalet, where windows stretching from floor to ceiling bring the valley views right into your space. As you enjoy the scenery, feel cozy with exposed wood beams, hardwood floors throughout, and a stacked stone (gas) fireplace for that classic mountain cabin feel. Unwind on the lovely sofa and matching armchair as you chat with family and friends or sip coffee to start your day. The big screen TV here is great for a laid-back day in the cabin or keeping the kiddos entertained while you whip up a delicious breakfast in the kitchen nearby.
Kitchen
Whether you’re packing picnic lunches, making hearty breakfasts to start the day, or creating a delicious dinner after a long day in town, the fully equipped kitchen in Snail’s Pace Chalet has what you need to feed your group in the Smokies. This open space is great for chatting while you work, featuring black cabinets, a double sink and microwave, a coffeemaker, breakfast bar seating for 6, an oven/stovetop, a refrigerator with freezer, and the dishes, glassware, and utensils you’ll need.
Dining Area
When you’re done cooking, sit down at the dining table for 6 set by the kitchen and living room. Combined with the dining table and bar seating – along with the sofa and matching armchair in the living room – there is plenty of room for everyone to eat together. As you sit down for meals, you’ll soak up truly stunning views of the valleys below – whether it’s changing leaves in fall, greenery in spring and summer, or snow falling over the trees in winter.
When mealtime is over, use the table as your board game hub! Break out the board games or card games you packed and have some fun chatting and playing late into the night. It’s also great for crafts or holiday cookie decorating with the kids – especially on those rainy days in the cabin!
Rec Room
Ready to play but want to stick around the cabin? No problem! Snail’s Pace Chalet has an awesome rec room that blends comfort and fun. Soft carpet floors are great for kiddos playing around, and seating around the room includes a twin trundle daybed, a sofa, and a plush chair with ottoman. Here you can challenge friends and family to a foosball game, flip on the big screen TV and unwind, or get serious with an air hockey tournament! Summer days will stay cool with the ceiling fan, and cold winter days will warm up with the cozy gas fireplace. A cool tree stump coffee table adds a rustic touch, and windows all around the room let in natural light and showcase serene wooded views. It’s a fun and laid-back space to just hang out, catch up with friends, and have some fun away from the stresses of home.
Bedrooms
Ready to call it a night? The 4 bedrooms at this Pigeon Forge cabin are cozy and waiting for restful nights. You’ll find space for up to 12 guests, with a mix of 2 king-size beds, 2 queen-size beds, 1 queen-size sleeper sofa, and 1 twin trundle daybed across the cabin. Each of the bedrooms has its own flatscreen TV (no fighting over the remote!), and there are 2 indoor jetted tubs for soothing spa baths. The two queen bedrooms share a full bathroom, and the 2 king-size suites boast their own private en-suite bathrooms. After you’ve hiked all day, played at Dollywood, or explored Pigeon Forge for hours, you’ll appreciate these relaxing retreats within the cabin.
Outdoor Spaces
What’s a stay in the Great Smoky Mountains without some quality time spent in the great outdoors? Nestled among the trees, Snail’s Pace Chalet boasts some wonderful outdoor spaces for you to relax and breathe in the fresh mountain air. This secluded cabin gives you plenty of privacy, so you can start days quietly with a cup of coffee as you sit in the rocking chairs overlooking the mountains, let the gorgeous valley views wash over you on relaxing afternoons, or end evenings chatting with loved ones in the fresh mountain air.
In spring and summer, enjoy bright greenery all across the valleys. In fall, watch the landscape transform with colors of auburn, marigold, and deep orange with the changing leaves. And in winter, watch as snow gently falls over the trees for your own little winter wonderland. Spread out over the spacious deck, grab some shade on the covered deck below, and fire up the gas grill for a cookout with kabobs, burgers, steaks, and fish fresh-caught in the mountains. On the lower level deck, end the evening with a soothing soak in the hot tub – with trees all around.

Take advantage of the washer/dryer so you can pack light or wash up pool towels, and be sure to use the community amenities in Shagbark! You’ll have access to a community pool for hot summer days, a walking trail where you can stroll on nice days, and a playground where the kids can burn some energy.

Snail’s Pace Chalet is conveniently located in Pigeon Forge, giving you the best of both worlds – peace in the mountains and access to the many attractions and restaurants of Pigeon Forge. Play mini golf, drive go karts, play laser tag and arcade games, check out dinner shows, break out at The Escape Game, stroll around The Island, ride roller coasters at Dollywood, and so much more.
Of course, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a must, with more than 800 miles of trails to explore across the entire park. You can lace up your boots for a hike, look for waterfalls, try to spot black bears (from a distance!), enjoy a picnic, take a horseback ride, take a scenic drive, or visit the many historic homesteads and churches in the area!
