Dixie Stampede

Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, is known for many things. The busy Parkway – the main street running downtown – is lined with miniature golf courses, arcades, go kart tracks, boutique and outlet shops, local and chain restaurants, family-friendly attractions, and of course, dinner shows! Dixie Stampede is one of the most popular dinner shows in Pigeon Forge, and not just because its namesake, Dolly Parton, is a beloved area native. The dinner show, complete with horse stunts, high-energy music, and some incredible costumes, has earned a reputation all on its own.

As visitors pull up to Dixie Stampede, the exterior of the building will give the first glimpse into what lies ahead. The barn-style building towers high on the Parkway and perfectly matches the theme of the show inside. The attraction is also in the heart of it all, making it easy for you to check out all the other fantastic attractions and events throughout the year in this fun Smoky Mountain town!

Before the Show
The Dixie Belle Saloon is the place to be before the show starts. Visitors can meet the stars of Dixie Stampede and get some pre-show entertainment and refreshments. The open-air stables house the horse stars of Dixie Stampede, which are beautiful Quarter Horses and Palominos. Then the Southern Belles will welcome guests inside the Dixie Belle Saloon for some mountain music. The opening act, Mountain Ruckus, will get things started with a high-energy performance of comedy and bluegrass and country music. And the Saloon Opening Act is included in the ticket price, so it’s like getting 2 shows for the price of 1! Guests can get popcorn, peanuts, cold Pepsi ®, and fruity non-alcoholic drinks in a collector series Souvenir Boot Mug. It’s a great way to start the night before the real show begins!

The Main Event
After the Saloon Opening Act, visitors will be taken into the 35,000-square-foot arena for the main event – Dolly’s Dixie Stampede Dinner Attraction. The show is all about a friendly competition between the North and South and features impressive horse riding stunts, amazing lighting and sound effects, and a fantastic musical production! There are 32 beautiful horses and some incredible trick riders that will impress both kids and adults. On top of all that, the show comes with a hearty four-course dinner that ends with a delicious dessert. As you watch the show, chow down on Southern favorites and tasty comfort foods while sipping sweet tea, soda, or coffee. The four-course feast includes:

  • A mouthwatering tender whole rotisserie chicken

  • Dixie Stampede’s Original Creamy Vegetable Soup

A Dixie Family Christmas
The holidays are a special time of year, especially in the Smokies. The city hosts some fantastic events, and many area restaurants, shops, and attractions get in on the fun. At Dixie Stampede, Christmas is celebrated with the special Christmas show. It runs from the beginning of November to the beginning of January and is a family-friendly show that will put everyone in the holiday spirit. It features the same great talent of the regular Dixie Stampede shows with a touch of magic for the season. Christmas at Dixie boasts holiday lights, evergreen trees, poinsettias, classic holiday music, old-fashioned costumes, and some of your favorite holiday characters. See those beautiful show horses alongside Santa Claus, Raggedy Ann and Andy, nutcrackers, and so many more! There is even a live nativity with camels, angels, and inspiring songs. And that classic fight between the North and South takes a holiday spin, with competitions between elves from the North Pole and South Pole for the Christmas at Dixie.
