Fall Festivities in the Smoky Mountains

Fall brings lots of wonderful things to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Tennessee…among them includes the area’s fantastic fall festivals! The Smokies are filled with all sorts of fall cheer and harvest events, celebrating the most beautiful season of the year. If you’re visiting Pigeon Forge in October or November, you will definitely want to check out these great celebrations!

First of all, check out the Smoky Mountain Harvest Festival, now through October 31st. Take a quick walk along the streets of downtown and you will find festive fall decorations adorning the storefronts and sidewalks. A stroll through downtown will quickly put you in a cheery mood!

One of the most popular events of the year, the Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair also takes place during the month of October. Now through October 27th, head to the Gatlinburg Convention Center and browse artists booths from all across the country! Handmade pottery, paintings, crafts and more will be available at more than 200 booths. Speak to the artists and learn about their crafts – the work here is some of the best in the world!

Delight your tastebuds with a visit to the Taste of Autumn. On October 29th at the Gatlinburg Convention Center, special guest Nan Kelley will be there to host the event! Attendees of the event get to enjoy unlimited sampling from some of the best restaurants and attractions in the Smoky Mountains. Tickets are $25 and all proceeds will go to benefit the United Way Sevier County!

Some participating restaurants include: Calhoun’s, Cherokee Grill, Hard Rock Café, Park Grill, Smoky Mountain Brewery and Sugarland Cellars…and many more! This delightful culinary experience is a great way to sample some of the area’s best dishes while supporting a great cause.

Lastly, celebrate your love of country and attend the Gatlinburg Veteran’s Day Celebration. Held on November 11th at 11:00AM at the Ripley’s Aquarium Plaza, this event is attended by hundreds of military personnel and supporters alike. Entertainment includes a military fly-over, music and speeches from noted veterans.
