If you’ve ever been to Pigeon Forge, TN, then you’ve driven the bustling Parkway, sat on the side of the road to watch the Spring Rod Run, walked up and down the street to check out the shops, or hopped on the Fun Time Trolley (the Pigeon Forge trolley system) to tour the city and easily travel between attractions. You’ve probably seen much of the city, and you may even think you’ve seen everything there is to see. But there is another way to tour the area that will give you a look at the city from a different perspective – a helicopter tour of the area!
If you didn’t know why the Great Smoky Mountains are called the Smokies, it’s because of the way they look like smoke is billowing off the mountains. The “smoke” is actually a fog caused by a chemical reaction with the vegetation and air in the area. That signature look – paired with the rolling hills, dipping valleys, fields of wildflowers, rushing waterfalls, abundance of wildlife, and flowing streams – makes for some incredible scenery, thus drawing millions of visitors to the area each year. And while you can get some great views from around Pigeon Forge and on hikes, bike rides, drives, or horseback rides through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a ride with Scenic Helicopter Tours will give you unmatched views of the Great Smoky Mountains and the city of Pigeon Forge. You’ll see the Parkway in a whole new light for an unforgettable Smoky Mountain experience!
