With the sofas set up around the room, it’ll be easy to play games like Charades or Pictionary. During the holidays, let the kids take turns opening presents in the warm light drifting from the flames in the stone electric fireplace at the center of the room.
On lazy days in the cabin, lounge around on the couches to let your food settle as the moon rises into view through the tall windows. Laugh and converse with all the friends you have grown up with as embarrassing stories are thrown about, wine glasses in hand. Or toss out some pillows and blankets and let the kids have a movie night with the big screen TV above the sofa!

Retreat to Treetop Tranquility after busy days in town, where you’ll find 4 spacious bedrooms to rest and relax. Three of the bedrooms have king-size beds, while the other has a twin-over-full bunk. Nap or watch an afternoon movie on any of the bedroom TVs in the comfortable beds, read a book while under the light of the reading lamp as everyone dozes off for the evening, or shower off after hiking and horseback riding in Cades Cove in any one of the 4 bathrooms. This makes transitioning to an elegant meal with a big group easy to manage! Walk into the unique, stone-entry shower of the master suite for a long relaxing shower after a good night’s sleep in the king-size bed. The kids will love having a sleepover together in the twin-over-full bunk bed as they fall asleep to a movie on the flatscreen TV. One bedroom even has its own mini kitchen, meaning you can keep your favorite drinks in your own room or warm up some breakfast pastries in peace.
With two entertainment rooms, no guest will find themselves bored during their downtime at Treetop Tranquility! On the entry level, the kids can play air hockey in the afternoon light of the sunroom while they wait their turn to play games on the Wii on the nearby TV. Set up a board game at the table to enjoy in the afternoon before dinner.
Downstairs, play some pool on the pool table while the football game plays on the mounted flatscreen TV. Make yourself another drink at the wet bar without having to run upstairs while you wait for the other team to take their shot on the pool table. Bring your wine glasses filled with after-dinner dessert wine from Mountain Valley Winery to the deck to keep the conversations going under the starry, southern night skies.
White Water Rafting with Smoky Mountain Outdoors
Take your group to conquer the whirling rapids of the Pigeon River with a whitewater trip through the Smokies! The Outdoor Adventures company offers 2 different sections of the river to explore; bring the kids to travel the Lower Pigeon River with calmer rapids while the older guests take on the class III and IV rapids of the Upper River! Explore nature and get in touch with your wild side while rafting in the mountains!
