- The Island Ropes Course—This might seem like an attraction for kids or teenagers, but the Sky Trail Explorer course at The Island is a great way to take your relationship to new heights! You’ll challenge yourselves to get out of your comfort zone, and you’ll experience all the excitement of 30 different elements, including 2 zip lines and 1 simulated free fall. This attraction has no time limit, so spend all afternoon enjoying the sights of the Smokies from high in the sky at The Island!
- The Escape Game—A popular attraction around the nation, The Escape Game has come to Pigeon Forge at The Island. If you’ve never played before, this game is all about teamwork—you’ll be locked in a room with your significant other and forced to use your creativity, wit, and skill to get out. The game challenges you to work together as a coupleand is sure to create lasting memories for your Pigeon Forge getaway! If you are coming to Pigeon Forge with other couples, you can also play as a small group. The game is designed for 2 to 8 people.
- Old Time Photo—You’ve seen them before: those old-time photo booths where you can dress up in a favorite outfit from the Wild West and strike a pose. This is a fun way to enjoy time with the one you love at The Island, and you’ll have the perfect memento to hang on your wall when you get back home!

Again, this list doesn’t cover everything on The Island. There is so much more in store for you when you spend the day there!
Romantic Night Out
The Island is not only the perfect place to spend the day with your loved one during your Pigeon Forge retreat. It’s also a great place to take your sweetie for a romantic night on the town. Enjoy a delicious dinner for 2 at Timberwood Grill, where you’ll experience “a genuine taste of the mountains!” With menu items like Smoky’s Fancy Chicken, Blackjack Salmon, and Gunpowder Ribeye, you’re sure to find something you both love at this lodge-themed restaurant.
If something a little more laid-back fits your style, then try a bite at Margaritaville instead. This restaurant is true island style with its tropical colors and exterior deck looking over the Little Pigeon River. The menu provides all your surf and turf favorites like New York strip steak and grilled shrimp. But you can also find some new flavor combos to try like their Seafood Mac & Cheese and Beach Tacos.
And, of course, a trip to the South is not complete without a big helping of traditional Southern flavors. From fried chicken to meatloaf to pot roast, you can find all your favorite Southern dishes at The Island at Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen. You can make this your date night destination or try it for breakfast or lunch instead. Whatever time of day you come, be sure to bring your appetite!
After Dinner Fun
Now that you’ve eaten, shopped, and played, it’s time to wind down your time at The Island with a turn on its most recognized attraction, The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel. You and your sweetie can cuddle up in an all-glass gondola and enjoy the colors of the Pigeon Forge sky as well as the colors of The Island Show Fountain. Then wrap up your visit with a sweet treat at one of these favorite locales: The Sweet Shoppe of the South, Island Yogurt, or The Island Creamery.
