It’s date night! Whether the grandparents have the kids for the weekend and you’ve slipped away for a romantic getaway to the Smokies, you just have a few hours to spend downtown or have a whole week away as a couple, there are plenty of ways to spend date night in the Smokies. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg feature plenty of restaurants, boutique shops, local wineries and distilleries, events, and attractions that are perfect for couples.
You can take it easy with dinner and a wine tasting, stay in the cabin and cozy up on the couch for a romantic comedy, or have some fun playing around for the afternoon. From an action-packed day to a laid-back night, date night (or day!) in the Smokies offers endless possibilities. We’ll get you started with just a few ideas!
Tour the Rocky Top Wine Trail.

They’re open 7 days a week and offer FREE wine tastings of their local wines. Mountain Valley Winery, Sugarland Cellars, and Hillside Winery also offer FREE tours from 12-5 p.m. daily. You can even download a passport, have it stamped along the way, and receive free gifts after visiting 3 and then all 6 locations!

Team up with another couple to break out at The Escape Game.

Lace up and hit the ice at Ober Gatlinburg.
When you think cheesy romantic comedy, you think couples holding hands and falling in love on the ice, right?! Add a little cheese to your date night with a spin on the indoor ice skating rink at Ober Gatlinburg! Bonus points: make some hot cocoa and cuddle up on the couch when you get back to the cabin!
Have a hearty meal alongside the show at Dixie Stampede.
An upgrade from the typical dinner-and-a-movie date night, a dinner show in downtown Pigeon Forge is great for couples. Sit down to a 4-course Southern-style dinner while watching the beautiful horses and talented riders!
Treat yourselves to an in-cabin massage.
Easy to book when you reserve your cabin, an in-cabin massage is a great way to treat yourself without even leaving the cabin. Make it a whole night in by making dinner in the cabin, getting a romantic movie, and finishing the night with a soak in the hot tub.
Snap a photo on the Grand Staircase at the Titanic Museum Attraction.
Relive that classic romantic moment of the movie Titanic with a walk and photo along the Grand Staircase. There is also plenty to do here, with rooms to explore, artifacts from the ship, and more.
Sit down for a hand-cut-steak dinner at The Peddler.
For an upgrade on your dinner, head to The Peddler. You can choose a steak cut tableside, sit looking out over the water, and enjoy a peaceful and romantic dinner.
