Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg celebrate Halloween just like any other Holiday out of the year. Both communities really get into the spirit by decorating the stores, landmarks, and road with fall items like corn stalks, scare crows, pumpkins, and hay bales. Both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg will be hosting their own trick – or – treat festivities. Each city has there yearly “trunk or treat” at their community buildings. At each festival you can enjoy story telling, hayrides, and delicious spooky treats. Kids and adults are both encourage to come in full costume. Adults can also join in the fun as business are throwing a costume party and contest.
If you have more of an adventurous side, you may want to try one of the many haunted houses. One of the popular haunted houses would be the Grand Haunted Hose at the Grand Resort Hotel. Ripley’s Haunted Adventure is even more terrifying than usual during the fall holiday. With bigger characters and sound effects -it’ll really take a toll on you. For all of the thrill seekers visiting the area during Halloween, there are haunted ghost tours for you to enjoy. The tours are guaranteed to give you chill bumps. The Haunting Ghost Tour of the Smokies will send you running back to your car. The ghost tours are more for the expanded mind, for those who think out of the box and are interested in the unknown. Each tour is lead by “ paranormal experts”. They take you down different tours with their tools that help locate any extraterrestrial activity. With so many different festivities going on, there are plenty of ways to enjoy Halloween while visiting the Smoky Mountain area.
