In winter, stay warm by the fire while making plans for your stay and reminiscing about past times. It’s furnished with a large area rug, coffee table, side tables with lamps, and leather-and-suede sofas and chairs. A second living area here offers more seating, and without a TV, it’s a great place for conversation or games. All around the room, find windows that let in that mountain sunlight and frame peaceful wooded views. You’ll also have easy access to a door that takes you out onto the spacious deck of this gorgeous mountaintop retreat. But of course, you can enjoy those views as you’re comfy on the sofa as well!
The kitchen of Summit View Lodge is the perfect blend of a luxury lodge design and the conveniences and comforts of home. The gorgeous wood cabinets are trimmed in log detailing, and the breakfast bar is covered in beautiful stacked stone. The four log bar stools feature a plaid pattern, and the black countertops are nice and sleek. The kitchen also features all black appliances, including two refrigerators, two dishwashers, two ovens/stoves, two microwaves, and two coffeemakers! Double appliances will make it so easy to stock everyone’s favorite drinks and foods or make meals for the whole group. You’ll have plenty of counter space and all the tools, dishes, and utensils you’ll need. The nice, open space also allows several guests to cook and make snacks or drinks at the same time without feeling too crowded.
With such a fantastic kitchen in Summit View Lodge, of course you need an awesome dining area to match! After you’ve prepared those delicious homemade meals, you can enjoy them in the large dining area. Beautiful round log tables with matching upholstered chairs allow seating for a large group, while still giving guests the opportunity to have more intimate conversations at the tables for 6 each. In the corner, a big screen TV hangs mounted on the stone fireplace. And along the wall, large windows frame those gorgeous Smoky Mountain views. You can’t find a spot like this at any restaurant downtown! On cool evenings, turn on that fireplace and enjoy warm meals by the fire!
With such a large group, you’ll want plenty of ways to entertain. The home theater in Summit View Lodge is just one of your many great options. Sconces and movie posters hang on the warm wood walls, and a huge movie screen is awesome for movies and ball games. Big, comfy sofas are perfect for curling up with some popcorn or candy and enjoying movies in the cabin. And the carpeting throughout the room is great for letting the kids put out pillows and blankets or letting the smallest ones crawl around and play. It’s a great space that the whole family can enjoy.
Upstairs in Summit View Lodge, you’ll find three great things – comfortable seating, games, and some of the most fantastic views you can get from inside the cabin. The rec room, complete with track lighting and soaring ceilings with exposed wood beams, is a play space fit for a lodge. Massive floor-to-ceiling windows show off the stunning Smoky Mountain views and let in lots of light on nice, sunny days. Throughout the room, you’ll find plenty of places for guests to enjoy. In the center of the room, 2 comfy sofas and ottomans, along with a large coffee table, offer a nice place to hang out between games or play board games. Poker fans or card players can sit at the round game table for 4 while playing and watching TV. There is also a foosball table, pool table, arcade game, and 2 air hockey tables. But the rec room is more than just games. It’s also a spacious room where you can eat, drink, and hang out. By the pool table, find lots of bar stools for seating and a wall of windows framing a wooded view. There is even a mini kitchen, complete with bar, sink, microwave, TV, and refrigerator. So if you want to spend hours hanging out, playing, and watching a ball game here, you won’t even have to leave to get snacks or drinks. Both kids and adults will love it! When you want some fresh air, just step out onto the deck that’s easily accessible here. If you don’t want to go out, you’ll have wooded views on one end and mountain views on the other!
Each of the 9 bedrooms in Summit View Lodge is beautifully decorated and outfitted with the comforts of home. You’ll have nightstands, dressers, lamps, and fans to keep you cool on those hot days. There are even TVs in every bedroom, and some rooms have their own jetted tubs! Each space is a private retreat that every guest will appreciate. And the kids will especially love the bunk bed rooms! In all, there are 7 king-size beds and 4 queen bunk beds. That’s plenty of space for all 30 guests!
