Celebrate the cultural traditions of Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, without even leaving the country when you take a fall vacation to the scenic Great Smoky Mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, this October! Hosting the 12th annual OktOBERfest for an entire month is OBER Gatlinburg — a fun ski area and amusement park with outdoor fun, indoor ice skating, shopping, and mountain top dining in the Smokies. In addition to Bavarian entertainment, shopping, and food, yes, there will be a beer garden!

Smoky Mountain Oompah Band
Of all the things to do at OktOBERfest at Ober Gatlinburg, watching Bavarian folk dances performed in authentic lederhosen by the Smoky Mountain Oompah Band and listening to traditional oompah music is one of the best parts! You can join in sing-a-longs and hear professional yodeling, too. Performances will be held daily in the Seasons of Ober Restaurant during this fall event. Feel free to get up and boogie anytime!

Brewing representatives from specialty breweries will be there every Saturday during the event to offer recommendations and answer any questions.

While this is a family-friendly festival, you must be 21+ years of age and bring a valid ID to participate in the Bavarian beer festivities. For only $20, you’ll get a beer card that gets you 8 beers at 8 ounces each OR 4 beers at 16 ounces each, so you can sample many beers or keep chugging your favorites! Please drink responsibly.
