The 4th of July may have passed but never fear! If you’re visiting Pigeon Forge, Tennessee this July, you are in for quite the special treat. The town hosts several fantastic and fun events throughout the month, long after Independence Day has passed!
Children of the Titanic – July 1st through 31st
Learn about the 133 children that were aboard the Titanic. This year-long exhibit at the Titanic Museum Attraction in Pigeon Forge highlights everything that the children saw, heard and felt from the moment they boarded the ship. This exhibit is perfect for getting your own children interested in the museum!
Christmas in July – July 1st through 31st
Head on over to the Inn at Christmas Place and enjoy holiday-themed activities and events! This month long celebration includes Christmas story-telling, kid’s activities, free snow cones and cookie decorating for the children. There may even be a special visit from a vacationing Santa Claus!
Fin-Tastic Summer Movies Under the Stars – July 12th
Bring the kids to Ripley’s Aquarium on the Plaza and enjoy a free movie! Beginning at 9PM, Ripley’s will be showing Night at The Museum on their outdoor plaza. It will be like the drive-in movie the kids never got to see! The event will continue every Friday throughout the month of July.
Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair – July 19th through 28th
Celebrate incredible craftsmen and artists at the Gatlinburg Convention Center. With more than 150 booths to browse, you are sure to find something that you can’t live without! Enjoy skill demonstrations and live music from 10AM to 6PM daily.
Wine on the Lawn – July 19th
Held every third Friday at Hillside Winery in Sevierville, you can enjoy live music and outdoor games while sipping on a glass of wine! Bring your lawn chairs and umbrellas for this fun, free and relaxing event.
Midnight 8K Road Race – July 27th
This annual event is put on by Pigeonforge.com and is one of the most fun races of the season! Don’t slack off on your exercise routine on vacation, instead enter in the Midnight Road Race and enjoy a run down the Parkway. With a flat course and sparkling night lights, you may achieve your fastest time ever!
Ripley’s Aquarium Dinosaur Camp – July 30th
If your kid is crazy about all things dinosaurs, you don’t want to miss this fun camp! Children will dig up bones, make their own fossils to take home and explore history to become Junior Paleontologists.
