Dollywood’s Splash Country

Sister park to Pigeon Forge’s famous Dollywood, Dollywood’s Splash Country is the place to be during summers in the Smokies, usually open from mid-May through Labor Day. Winning awards and commendations for almost 2 decades, this water park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, has something for all ages. From shaded canopies where you can rest and get food to thrilling water rides and water features for the little ones, all spread across 35 acres, Splash Country will make any summer day a memorable one with family and friends!

Rides, Slides & More!

Dollywood’s Splash Country was inspired by Dolly Parton’s childhood days, swimming and playing in the Smoky Mountain rivers every summer. This water park is all fun all the time! From daredevil rides and heart-pounding waterslides to a massive wave pool and the laziest river, each attraction offers its own unique excitements.

TailSpin Racer

This 6-lane slide pits riders against each other as they race down this thrilling slide that’s 5 stories tall and longer than a football field!

Big Bear Plunge

Climb into a whitewater tube and get ready to hit the waves around corners and down steep drops — all before flying down a cliff into a cool pool below!

Slick Rock Racer

With 4 lanes spread across 300 feet, racers slide on mats side-by-side to the finishing splash at the end before a winner is declared.

Downbound Float Trip

This 1,500-foot lazy river is the perfect way to relax while keeping cool in the water and enjoying the Great Smoky Mountain scenery.

Fire Tower Falls

Twin slides send you speeding down (with no raft!) for a wet and wild ride starting 70 feet in the air and extending a total of 280 feet — the tallest and fastest slides in the water park!

RiverRush

Tennessee’s first and only water coaster, RiverRush takes you through the trees 4 stories high with 4 drops, hairpin turns, and dark tunnels.

Mountain Twist

After a leisurely climb to the top of this 3-slide mash-up, soar on your single-person mat 42 feet downhill with sharp twists and turns along the way.

Wild River Falls

Inspired by Smoky Mountain rivers, these 4 wild slides rush you through tunnels, around fun twists and turns, and into a splash pool.

SwiftWater Run

Featuring a classic corkscrew tunnel, this ride rushes you around and around before the chute pulls you in for a super splash below!

The Butterfly

Ending in Dollywood’s signature butterfly, this steep slide takes you 55 feet down into a big splash in the butterfly pool.

Mountain Waves

This epic wave pool features 25,000 square feet of fun for the whole family and proves you don’t need the ocean to catch a big one!

Fun for Younger Kids

It’s not all high-action water slides and rides. Even the youngest kids can have fun at Dollywood’s Splash Country! There are plenty of splashy children’s play areas suitable for kids and families to enjoy together under the summer sun.

Little Creek Falls

At Little Creek Falls, little kids will have fun swimming in the pool, playing on the slides, or splashing around with the many water features.

Bear Mountain Fire Tower

With 7 slides, a huge bucket dumping 1,000 gallons of water, water cannons, and more, Bear Mountain Fire Tower is fun for the whole family. Kick off your shoes and play!

The Cascades

An 8,000-square-foot lagoon with beach entry, waterfalls, slides, water jets, a geyser, secret coves with hidden interactives, plus a 24,000-square-foot tiered deck, contoured seating, 21 retreat and canopy rentals, The Cascades is perfectly set up for families.

Retreats & Canopies to Keep Cool

An entire day in the summer sun can be taxing. Besides making sure you’re wearing plenty of sunscreen and drinking lots of water, you’ll want to take a few breaks in the shade. Shady spots are plentiful throughout the park, but if you want your own space to relax — plus order food — take advantage of the Waterside and Riverside Retreats or the canopies to stay cool.

Relaxing Retreats

If you’re traveling with grandparents, the retreats are a perfect place for them to kick up their feet (or take a break with the little ones) for a while. At the retreats, spread out with 200 square feet of shade and 100 square feet of sunny deck. You’ll have your own secure storage, lounge chairs, a dining table, a ceiling fan, a TV, and food and drink delivery! You can even book the Retreat Birthday Party Package for an easy and fun special day.

For even more amenities, you can book a deluxe retreat that has everything plus a big screen TV, a refrigerator stocked with 8 water bottles, couches to unwind, and bar stool seating with views of the lazy river. Be sure to book these luxurious retreats way ahead of time because they book fast!

Cool Canopies

If you don’t need as much space, the canopies are a great option. Great for a romantic afternoon or a fun break with a friend, the canopies feature 65 square feet of shade, 2 lounge chairs, and a table/storage locker in between. Just be sure you make your reservations in advance because they can book up quickly.

Food & Refreshments

Throughout the park, you’ll find concession stands, cafes, and sweet shops where you can grab a drink, satisfy a sweet tooth, or fill up after building up an appetite in the water.

Meals & Snacks

The Campsite Grill serves up burgers, fries, pizza, and kids’ meals. Cascades Concessions has everything from salads and subs to fresh fruit and chips. BeaverTails® pastries are fresh-baked whole wheat treats topped and drizzled with chocolate, cinnamon, candy, and more. Sit down for Nathan’s Famous® footlong hot dogs, fries, and chicken at Dogs-N-Taters. And get burrito bowls from The Watering Hole or a gourmet picnic with 4 sandwiches, chips, family-size sides, and drinks from Picnic in the Park.

Cool Treats

Berries-N-Cream cools you off with milkshakes, ice cream floats, and sundaes. Top off your drink at the Fill & Chill Zones around the park and get shaved ice and drinks from Grab and Go. And go for sweet Dippin’ Dots from Cascades Concessions, Campsite Grill, or on the deck by the wave pool.

Vegetarian, Sugar-free & Gluten-free Options

And for those who have special dietary needs, Dollywood’s Splash Country has sugar free, vegetarian, and gluten-free options throughout the park. Just let the cashier know what you need when you’re ordering, and they’ll do their best to accommodate you.

Amenities at Splash Country

Dollywood’s Splash Country offers a lot of amenities to make your day at this fun Pigeon Forge water park even more convenient, like places to keep your items safe, accessibility tools and assistance, childcare, and even pet care!

Lockers & Shops

Two sizes of lockers are available for all-day rentals and are located all around the park for easy access. And if you forgot sunscreen or other gear, you can stop in at Riverside Trading Post or Splash & Dash Sundries for towels, sunglasses, t-shirts, Splash Country gear, and more.

Accessibility

Splash Country works to serve all guests well, so they offer their Accessibility Guide, which has information about rides, attractions, and services offered to enable guests. A Calming Area with weighted pads, natural surroundings, therapy balls, and such is provided to guests who may get sensory overload. Permission to enter may be acquired through Splash & Dash, the Hospitality Booth, or the Safety Office. And accessibility tubes and aquatic wheelchairs are available to those with mobility issues. Just ask a lifeguard if you need one. Note: lifeguards and staff cannot assist in the transfer of guests between their mobility aid and the accessibility tubes or aquatic wheelchairs.

Childcare, Strollers & Life Vests

Just like Dollywood, Splash Country offers plenty of amenities to make visits safe, fun, and convenient — especially for families with children. Find Baby Care Centers with nursing areas, changing stations, and family restrooms near The Cascades and Big Bear Plunge. Life vests (no charge) and strollers (for rent) are also available, along with swim diapers at the Riverside Trading Post.

Pet Care

While Splash Country doesn’t have its own kennels, guests here can use the Doggywood facilities at Dollywood. If you’re traveling with your pet, take advantage of the climate-controlled facility where your dog can play and rest while you splash around.
