Tennessee Wineries

As always, you must be 21 or older to have wine but that does not mean you cannot go and enjoy the fun that these wineries offer! And if you do not like wine, wineries are a good place to buy gifts for others as well as learn new things like how fermentation works.

1. Apple Barn Winery: Sevierville, TN.

Visit the well-known Apple Barn Village for both shopping and dining. There are two different restaurants to choose from on site. You can dine at either the Apple wood farmhouse or the Apple Barn Farmhouse Grill. Both restaurants have great reviews and serve a variety of options depending on what you crave. The Apple Barn winery is unique in that it has apple based wines! Located on an apple orchard this winery also is surrounded by beautiful trees and offers a scenic view to all.

The wines they have available for sale are the following: Semi-sweet, sweet wine, and wine freezers.

2. Hillside Winery: Sevierville, TN.
This winery is set on a beautiful hill of green grass surrounded by a variety of flowers. They offer free tastings and have a unique gift shop to browse. Wine is available to buy online if you are not in the area and able to visit in person.

Hillside Winery has the following wines available: Semi-sweet wine, sweet wine, Bubbly wines, wine coolers, and they even sell spring water.

3. Mountain Valley Winery:
Restaurants: 14 affiliated with the winery to choose from. This winery is part of the Rocky Top Wine Trail. Aged in oak casks to give it the oak flavor is just part of what makes this winery different. Locally grown grapes are used to make the grape juice that is later fermented into what is eventually their delicious wine. The cases of bottles are kept in a climate-controlled warehouse until they are ready to be sold. Take a tour to see how the wine bottling process unfolds!

4. Sugarland Cellars: Gatlinburg, TN.
Fully Operating Winery, offering free tours and complimentary wine tastings. You are invited to shop online if you are not able to visit in person but the firsthand experience is always more fun! The gift shop is always a great way to spend time and browsing for things you like to remind you of your experience is priceless.

They offer a variety of wines: Dry Wines, Sweet Wines, and Semi-Sweet Wines. Make sure to try their famous Wiley Oakely.
