New Fun and Fare at the Island in Pigeon Forge

The Island, one of the newest attractions in Pigeon Forge, is a family-friendly destination that truly offers something for everyone. This one-stop-shop attraction on the Parkway features celebrity-owned restaurants, dozens of shops, kids’ rides, and unique experiences. The center of this beautiful mini town is a huge show fountain with changing lights, coordinated music, and tons of seating. The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel is another feature you can’t miss as you drive through the heart of Pigeon Forge. You can climb aboard the closed-in glass gondolas and enjoy beautiful views of the city and the Smoky Mountains. When The Island opened, it already had lots of great shops, but it’s constantly growing and now holds even more to check out!

At Ole Smoky Moonshine, the 6,000-square-foot moonshine “barn” houses a variety of moonshine flavors (stop by for a taste) and lots of Ole Smoky Moonshine products. They also have an outdoor stage where you can enjoy live bluegrass music daily. You can pick up the latest herbs and oils at the family-owned-and-operated Blossom, and you can get mouthwatering homemade treats such as salt water taffy, fudge, caramel apples, and gelato at the Big Rock Candy Kitchen. If you need a trip down memory lane, stop by Kryptonite Character Store or Buckboard Too!, where they offer nostalgic collectibles from movies, TV shows, and iconic brands. Doc’s Magic Shop is the place to pick up tricks that kids and adults can pull off, and Heads Up Sports is your place for team and brand hats. Meet some incredible birds at Parrot Mountain, pick up a variety of hot sauce at Pepper Palace, or please your taste buds at The Sweet Shoppe of the South.

After lots of shopping, have some awesome experiences at the fun stops at The Island. Take a 7D Dark Ride Adventure, climb high above the shops at The Island Ropes Course, play games at Arcade City, or try to find yourself out of the Mirror Maze. The Escape Game is a new and exciting adventure where guests can test their skills and try to make it out of a locked room. Give your feet a break and take a ride on The Island Express, get an Old Time Photo before heading home, and play around at the Shooting Gallery. There are also lots of great games and rides for kids, including the Twist and Shout, Lil’ Ribbits, Happy Swing, Funny Cars, and The Flying Horse Carousel!
