This festival introduces attendees of all ages to exciting new music and dance shows from around the world. Even if you’ve been in the past, this year holds the honor of a totally new lineup. The event spectacular begins with a performance by the Spirit of the Dance. Seen by more than 30 million people worldwide and winner of more than eight Global Awards, this celebration of Irish heritage is a foot-stomping good time! Enjoy the sounds of thundering feet and breathtaking music.
April 11th through 30th check out Ashelin, a singing and dancing sister group from Newfoundland, Canada. Their glittering vocal talent shines through their traditional Irish and Newfoundland music folk roots. You will love their contemporary spin on old-time tunes and appreciate their original song writing.
If you’re ready for a one of a kind experience, don’t miss The Paper World Show by Mimirichi. From Ukraine, this performing group transforms ordinary paper into an out of this world show! You will love their hilarious antics as they include the audience in their performance and tear through giant sheets of paper. These clowns will keep you laughing until tears run down your face!
Returning for the second year is the Los Pampas Gauchos show. This Argentine fiesta is colorful, exciting, and best of all, thrilling! The beginning of the show dwells on traditional folk music before moving on to a fast, paced family performance. You will feel the beat of the drums, see the swirling of capes, the tossing of knives, whips, and more!
Another group returning for it’s second year is the Zebra Stelzentheater of Germany. The amazing formations and choreography aren’t even the most impressive part of this performance – the best thing is that they’re all on spring loaded stilts! Balancing high upon their stilts, decorated in colorful garbs, the performers dance along the streets of Dollywood to bring joy to children and adults alike.
