Fall family fun awaits aboard The Great Pumpkin Patch Express on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad this October! If you’re staying in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, or Sevierville, you won’t want to miss this exciting day of fun for the whole family, just about an hour and a half away.

The PEANUTS ™ The Great Pumpkin Patch Express on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad boasts the best that fall has to offer – gorgeous Smoky Mountain scenery, cool fall weather, pumpkin picking, marshmallow roasting, trick-or-treating, hayrides, and more! Now that the leaves are beginning to change in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, it’s the perfect time to visit. And a day on the train (as well as a 1 hour-and-45-minute layover) is a fantastic way to enjoy the views.

Celebrate fall in the most festive of ways aboard PEANUTS™ The Great Pumpkin Patch Express! Trains leave from the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad on Fridays at 3:30 p.m. (October 17 & 24), Saturdays at noon and 3:30 p.m. (October 18 & 25), and Sundays at noon and 3:30 p.m. (October 19 & 26).

Coach class tickets: $55 for adults, $31 for children (ages 2-12), FREE for infants
Crown class tickets: $67 for adults, $38 for children (ages 2-12), $10 for infants
*All ticket prices are subject to a 7% Historical Preservation Fee in 2014.

The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad also offers Halloween fun for the adults with the Masquerade Train on October 31. Departing Bryson City, NC at 8 p.m., the Masquerade Train will be a night of dining, dancing, delicious drinks, great food, and costumes! And the fun doesn’t stop at the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad once fall comes to an end. The Polar Express is a magical experience for both kids and adults! Journey to the North Pole as you enjoy warm cocoa and a treat while listening to the story of the Polar Express.
