Black Friday in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg can be full of great deals and steals. The shopping that’s available near our Pigeon forge cabins is already fantastic, but there are even better deals on the day after Thanksgiving. Knowing how to approach Black Friday in Pigeon Forge is an important part of strategizing getting the most out of your shopping day.

Suggestion #1Pick one mall to start at. Our favorite is the Tanger Outlet Mall. This mall has lots of great stores for young and old (over 100 stores total) and we’ve found some really great deals here. Last year the mall opened at 12 midnight but we’re not going to be that lucky this year. They open at 8 am on Black Friday and will be open all day for your shopping delight. Stores include clothing stores for everyone, home decorating stores, candy shops, jewelry stores, shoe stores, purse stores…you get the gist. Get a map for the mall, and check individual stores’ websites for coupons.

Suggestion#2- Plan ahead.  It’s a good idea to have someone parking the car so the shopper doesn’t have to spend the time looking for a spot. Make sure everyone shopping with you has cell phones, and that you all have eachother’s phone numbers. Another good idea is to pack snacks for kids to eat when you’re stuck in certain stores and can’t leave “just yet.” Also, know when the doorbusters end for the stores  you really want to buy from.

Suggestion #3–  Strategize. Shop for things you can’t find elsewhere, and visit your favorite stores. Old Navy is a favorite for lots of families, and the Coach purse store has deals that lots of women can’t resist. Whatever your poison, make sure to know the stops you want to make before Black Friday in Pigeon Forge.

Lastly, remember that there’s going to be lots of traffic on Black Friday in Pigeon Forge, so plan to spend time in the car. You might want to leave house earlier than you want to arrive at the stores and plan to spend time in the car on the way home. Also, take a look at some routes that can help you skip traffic in Pigeon Forge.
