Exhibit: Children of the Titanic
This exhibit, held at the world famous Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge, commemorates the 133 children that were aboard the ill-fated RMS Titanic. Held throughout the month of March, the exhibit is a celebration of the bravery, faith and innocence of the children that lost their lives on the ship. The exhibit offers a hands-on feel of what the children saw, touched and heard from the moment they boarded the ship. If you have never before visited the Titanic Museum, this is a great excuse to go!
Southeastern Alpaca Show
Held on March 2nd and 3rd this fun event takes place at the Sevierville Events Center from 9:00AM-5:00PM. Free to the public, this event is fun for kids and adults alike! Meet the alpacas up close and personal while you learn about their unique hair that creates beautiful lush fibers that are ideal for knitting and spinning. Experienced breeders will be on hand to answer all of your questions and provide free demonstrations and fiber art learning stations.
Winter Carnival of Magic
The Country Tonite Theater is known for its hilarious and magical acts, and each year they bring even more magic during the month of March. Held March 7th through 9th, you can enjoy lectures, competitions, evening shows, pizza parties and more. The magicians acts will blow you away, you can even vote for the “People’s Choice Award!”
Gatlinburg Improv Fest
Who doesn’t love a good improv? The Gatlinburg Improv Fest, held at Sweet Fanny Adams Theater on March 8th and 9th, is an event for both spectators and performers. Offering a series of classes, shows, performances and more, this can be a great way to spend the afternoon!
A Mountain Quiltfest
From March 12th to 16th, instructors, vendors and sponsors will be on hand at the Smoky Mountain Convention Center to answer all of your quilt questions. A special showing of quilts will be available, as well as a beautiful display and contests for the quilt makers. Quilters will compete in more than 10 categories for more than $20,000 dollars in prizes. Sign up for one of the 75 quilting classes, ranging from beginner to advanced quilting skills.
