What Is River Tubing?
If you’ve ever floated down a lazy river at a water park, you know what river tubing is all about. But the biggest difference between River Rage Tubing and a water park is that you’ll actually be on the river! River Rage Tubing provides 3 different routes along the Little River, parts of which are protected by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. So not only can you experience the fun of tubing, but you’ll enjoy the privacy and scenery of the Great Smoky Mountains!
Who Can Go?
River Rage Tubing has no weight restrictions and no experience is required, but all tubers must be at least 3 years old and all children under 13 years old will need to be accompanied by an adult. Your little ones who need a little help in the water will have custom-fitted, Coast Guard-approved life jackets for safety. You’ll also be assisted by staff members who are familiar with the river, so you know your experience at River Rage Tubing will be safe and tons of fun!
Where Do I Go?
All you need to do is show up to River Rage Tubing in Townsend, Tennessee. (See address above.) Once you’re there, you can pick one of the 3 river routes, and a shuttle bus will transport you to the starting point at no extra charge. At River Rage Tubing, all shuttle drivers are licensed and insured, and all shuttle vans are state inspected and certified. So don’t worry about getting to the river—just get ready to have a great time!
When you finish your river run, you’ll ride the shuttle bus back to River Rage Tubing’s main location. From there you can take a break and grab a bite to eat, or you can hop back on the bus, choose the same or a different route, and do it all again. That’s right—River Rage Tubing gives you the chance to pay only once and tube ALL day*!
*River Rage Tubing is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily during river run season. This typically runs from mid-May to mid-September.
How Much Does It Cost?
Probably the most important question you can ask is, how much does it cost? Especially if you can tube ALL day, River Rage Tubing must be expensive, right? Wrong! River Rage Tubing prides itself on being one of the most affordable attractions in Pigeon Forge. So instead of charging $13 or $18 like other tubing companies, they only charge $10* for a full day!
This price includes your tube, free and unlimited shuttle service for the day, and a USCG-approved life jacket. This price also includes access to outdoor showers, lockers at each exit, and clean restrooms and changing rooms (no porta potties!).
*Price does not include sales tax.
Can I Bring a Group?
Absolutely! And if you do, be sure to ask about River Rage Tubing’s group rates. As if their prices weren’t low enough, they’ll save you even more money if you bring at least 10 guests to the river. Here are the rates* according to group size:

What Else Can I Do at River Rage Tubing?
Besides tubing down the Little River, River Rage Tubing provides a racing oval, where you can ride around the track on a go kart. Whether you’re traveling with kids or adults, this Pigeon Forge slick track will add some excitement to your day!
I’m Hungry. Where Can I Eat?
We bet you are—it’s been a long day of riding down the river and racing around the track. But you don’t have to head back to your car to find a Pigeon Forge restaurant on the Parkway. Instead, walk over to Little River BBQ conveniently located at River Rage Tubing.
With old-fashioned barbecue that’s smoked daily, you’ll love their never-frozen, fresh-made BBQ sandwiches, pork ribs, beef brisket, and seasoned chicken. Choose a favorite side and order a basket of fried dill pickles (yes, fried pickles!), and you’ll be all set for another run down the river!
