River Retreat

Our stay was wonderful. I do want to say that access to the water was quite steep and difficult to get in and out. The water is only about waist deep, which is good but I think it’s good info to provide. Suggestion to the host, add some steps from the steep yard and some steps into the water. This would make the experience 100% better. Also would be nice to have some basic items such as salt, pepper, stevia. Otherwise the stay was amazing!

The house was great, the river was so nice to wade in and float in The host was very prompt and easy to communicate with. The property is close enough to make quick easy trips to the nearby entertainment, but far enough away to escape the madness of it all.

Amenities were great,close to town.

We had to make some changes to our original reservation dates and they helped tremendously with the process!

very comfortable interior and exterior with the Little Pigeon River at the bottom of the yard and beautiful fields with cows and wildlife beyond. Very close to everything, but feels very private. Caught small mouth bass in the very brief fishing we tried!

Omg LOVE IT!! The whole family LOVED IT! They wanted to come back and hang at the cabin more than they wanted to go out and do things! The place is just AMAZING! The pictures do not do it justice. The views are beautiful and serene. We had the BEST time for a recharge from life and will be back FOR SURE!

This place was the perfect getaway !! It was cozy and comfortable. We all felt at home. The back porch was my place to be, for I had broken my arm 5 days prior.The little pigeon River was the kids favorite spot. Swimming, tubing, fishing, and catching minnows, they did it all!! Will definitely be back!!

We Absolutely Loved everything about this cabin! It was definitely big enough four two adults and 3 teens! The kitchen had practically everything you could imagine when it comes to cooking I mean, they even had three electric can openers and different sizes even a blender multiple pots and pans I mean they even had multiple pizza slicers! I could go on and on about what they provided in the kitchen alone! There was the pool table and it had everything with it. Besides, I would suggest that they probably need to replace more pool stick chalk to be available because It’s basically out now after us enjoying the pool table so much! The hot tub was absolutely amazing. The only thing I could complain about that is that apparently it has a light feature in the light feature didn’t work, but everything else was 100% perfect and worked amazing! I really and truly couldn’t Complain about anything that I was specifically upset about when it comes to this cabin! I would definitely suggest recommend, this place to my friends and even possibly rent it out again futuristically for my family!!!!

Overall it was great. There was so much room. There was a few spiderwebs and bugs and crossing the road there’s a gas station just in case you forget something . It had a beautiful view to a river.

Great cabin with many wonderful amenities. Very peaceful with a river view and pretty meadow with occasional cattle. Great location close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

We enjoyed staying at River Retreat over Thanksgiving holidays because the bedroom count was large enough for our family and separate enough for privacy. We had 6 adults, 3 children and 1 dog. Everything was clean and set up for Christmas. The access to the river was great, even though there was a fire ban, the outdoor seating and fire pit were inviting.

The cabin was very nice and roomy, great location for me and my family we loved that it was not deep in the woods. Game rooms were fun, and bathrooms were clean. The check in process was very nice and convenient. It was also, very close to everything and everywhere we planned to go. We will definitely plan on coming back again. Thank you.

Had an amazing experience thank you cabins for you

Spent a week here with 2 dogs, 5 kids and us two adults. We really liked being 8 mins from the parks and it’s back roads with great scenery along the way. The creek was really nice. The kids found some rope swings and stayed in the creek every evening. We really had a great time.

The cabin was beautiful I love the backyard and the view,I never expected the home to be so big and clean.

Overall it was a great property in a good location right on the river (which the dogs loved!) However, a little more attention to detail would have been great for the price. To start WiFi network and login instructions were incorrect. Network name was completely different and was never able to get the info (after messaging property manager). We had to use hotspot to connect the items we needed for the baby. We also had to make a store run and purchase batteries for all the remotes as all but one remote had the batteries missing. Refrigerator was flooded when we got there and had to use the roll of paper towels to clean it out before we could use it. The backyard’s grass was very long and trash from previous renters on the ground. The layout of the cabin was great for our large family. We all had our own space.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the River Retreat. It was the perfect distance from everything we wanted to do. We really enjoyed the fireplace in the evenings, and the deck overlooking the river in the mornings. It can get a little chilly in the downstairs rooms, and be sure to bring cooking essentials - pots and pans provided are decent quality. (We also left some coffee filters behind for the next guests 🙂). Overall, we were happy with our stay and we would come again.

The cabin is nice exactly for 10 people, only the basement part is a little cold there is no heating in this area of the house. But cozy!!

Great but a few home improvements are needed

The house was nice and we enjoyed our stay. The only thing a little off putting was the amount and size of the cob webs on the front porch. The inside was clean and that’s what truly matters.

Cabin was clean. Location was convenient. Being on the river was beautiful. I read all other reviews and could tell that the host has tried to remedy concerns previously listed. If the back gutter isn’t replaced, you’ll be in need of some roof work - not a complaint, just an fyi.

What a wonderful stay. We had two couples, two teenagers and a 4 year old. Each couple and each teenager had their own space. The cabin was very clean and well taken care of. Location is within 15 minutes of Pigeon forge and just a little further to Gatlinburg. The commute was very simple as the cabin is on a main road. There is a quite a bit of street noise but the deck seating and river view was very peaceful. We didn't realize until the last day that there are extra blankets in the dresser drawers. Be sure to bring your own coffee/filters, extra towels for the hot tub and trash bags. I saw an earlier review that the televisions weren't working. I was able to get it on one channel and that was it. However, we didn't mind so did not make a call to have it addressed. This cabin would've received a 5 star rating if there were more amenities and such and if it weren't for the street noise. Very happy tenants. We will boon again in the future.

For the price, the cabin was nice. It was spacious and the rooms were decent size. The beds weren't very comfortable, but overall it was a nice stay. Hot tub is nice and the porches and views were nice. The hill was steep to get down to the river/fire pit. It would have been nice if there were stairs or some kind of landscaping stone. The home seemed clean enough but there was trash left behind and it was dusty in areas so it was obvious it wasn't deep cleaned in a while. When I let them know about the trash and cleanliness, I got an apology, but wasn't offered any solution. I do, however, appreciate their staff on how they handled my lost item - I left something valuable upon our departure and I was able to call their office and they were able to locate it quickly and arrange for me to get it.
