For the rowdiest family dinner show in Pigeon Forge, you will want to head to the Lumberjack Feud. This relatively new Pigeon Forge attraction has been providing exciting family fun since it’s opening in 2011. What sets this dinner show apart from the typical “song and dance” number? Read below to find out!

The Lumberjack Feud differs from other shows in that the experience is all about the Great Smoky Mountains. Immersed in the mountain culture, the show derives it’s feud from the famous conflict between the Dawson’s and the McGraw’s. In 1930, when President Roosevelt dedicated the Smoky Mountain National Park and shut down the timber industry, there was only one tract of land left. The families decided to settle the land dispute with an old fashioned lumberjack competition, with the losing family bound to leave the Smoky Mountains for good.

When you enter the show, you and your family will be escorted to a side of the arena – either the Dawon’s or the McGraws. Then, for the rest of the show, you will enjoy the antics and competition as real ESPN timber athletes chop, saw, throw and roll their way to compete for the winning spot. The Lumberjack Feud is known for it’s great crowd interaction and will keep you riveted to the center of the arena. Some members of the audience will even come join in on the games to help their team to victory!

What else is there? How do high-flying timber dogs, log-pulling draft horses and chainsaw carving sound? This Pigeon Forge dinner show is perfect for kids and adults alike, with the story of the Camp Cookie and other authentic Smoky Mountain characters providing comedic relief in between the competitions.

What would a dinner show be without a delicious meal? Attentive servers will tend to your every need as you enjoy the show. The dinner offered is a true 1930’s mountain style meal, filled with stick-to-your-ribs food so no one will leave the show hungry. Kick things off with mouthwatering herb roasted chicken breast or applewood slow roasted pork loin with gravy. The entrees are served with Mamaw’s mashed potatoes,  southern-style green beans, creamy mac and cheese and melt-in-your-mouth dinner rolls. Just make sure you save room for dessert – their signature applejack fritter is so delicious you may want to ask for another! The Feud also offers vegetarian and gluten-free meals, just give them a call for more details.
