Things to do
Watch holiday movies. Imagine gathering around the fireplace with the family as you enjoy popcorn, candy, soda, and your favorite holiday films! Some of my favorites are Elf, Miracle on 34th Street, and Home Alone.
Have a family game night. Some of our cabins have board games, but check when you make your reservation. If they don’t, bring along your favorites and have a family game night. It’s a great way to disconnect from technology and really have some quality time with the kids.
Turn on the tunes. Set the stage for a cozy Christmas in the cabin with those classic Christmas hits in the background. Bring CDs or take advantage of things like iTunes radio or Pandora (both free to use) to find your favorites.
Relax. Don’t forget that Christmas is also a time to slow down and just enjoy being with family and friends. Take the time to relax, unwind, and let the peace of the Smoky Mountains wash over you. Take a dip in the hot tub, soak in an indoor jetted tub, or just sit back in a rocking chair with a good book.
Holiday treats
Bake Christmas cookies. Nothing says Christmas like the smell of fresh-baked cookies in the kitchen. Just stop by the store on your way into town and pick up all the ingredients (or break and bake, if you’re like me) to make delicious cookies. For some extra fun, make sugar cookies and bring along cookie cutters, sprinkles, and icing so the kids can decorate their own treats!
Create a delicious Christmas dinner. Sit down for a relaxing meal with family and friends in the comfort of your own Pigeon Forge cabin.
