Muscadine Madness (March 1–March 31, 2016)
If you thought March Madness was only for basketball players, then you’ve never been to Pigeon Forge for Muscadine Madness! Throughout the month of March, you and your friends are invited to sample Muscadine wine at each winery location on the Rocky Top Wine Trail. Then, fill out your Muscadine Madness bracket, and vote for your favorite wine. It’s that easy, and everyone who participates will be entered to win a free goody bag! Oh, and did we mention that, as a bonus, you’ll also get to stop by Doc Colllier Moonshine for a free sample of their Muscadine Brandy? For more information about this event, call 865-389-9490.

Limited Release Sunny Days Wine (March 5, 2016)
Local artist Robert A. Tino has combined realism and impressionism for a style all his own, which he has used to capture the beauty and grandeur of the Great Smoky Mountains for the last 20 years. Be sure to visit his popular studio in Sevierville while you’re in town, and we also invite you to visit Sugarland Cellars Winery, where they’ll be selling a limited edition bottle of wine with Tino’s original artwork on the label starting March 5. For every bottle of Sunny Days Wine that’s sold, Sugarland Cellars will donate $5 to Friends of the Smokies, a non-profit partnered with the Great Smoky Mountains National Park that helps with historic preservation, wildlife management, and environmental education. So you can rest assured that when you purchase your bottle of Sunny Days Wine, you’ll be getting a great product that supports an even greater cause. But hurry—only 1,000 bottles will be sold, and they are sure to sell quickly! For more information, call Sugarland Cellars at 855-228-1110.

Local Wine & Fondue Dinner (March 10, 2016)
The ultimate dining experience is coming to the Smokies from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on March 10 with the Local Wine & Fondue Dinner hosted by Sugarland Cellars. Join an intimate group of guests for a 4-course fondue dinner at The Melting Pot in Gatlinburg, where you’ll enjoy delicious food perfectly paired with local Smoky Mountain wines. The courses will consist of:

  • Broccoli and Cheddar Cheese paired with Century White Greenbrier (a floral and tropical white wine)
  • California Salad paired with Baskins Creek Blanc (a honey- and citrus-flavored wine)
  • Garlic and Herb Chicken, Old Bay Shrimp, Teriyaki Marinated Sirloin, and Wild Mushroom Sacchetti paired with Century Red 1802 (a time-honored burgundy style red wine)
  • Blueberry Pie White Chocolate Fondue paired with Mountain Laurel (a Muscadine wine prized for its rich aroma)

Besides enjoying this delicious meal, you’ll be guided by a Sugarland Cellar’s winemaker through every course. And after your meal, you’ll take a short walk down the Gatlinburg Parkway to Sugarland Cellars Winery, where you’ll be treated to a premium tasting and private tour. The event is perfect for a date, an anniversary dinner, or a fun night with friends. The cost is $39.99 per person and reservations are required. Call 865-430-4430 for more information.
