Lots of people hear about the Hummer tours available near Pigeon Forge but with so much to do in Pigeon Forge it’s easy to forget about the Hummer tours. That’s what happened to me. I’ve experienced many of the adventures in Pigeon Forge but there’s still so much more to conquer. Up until this week I had never stepped into an Hummer for a tour. But that all changed when the team at Outdoor Adventures of the Smokies invited me over for a ride on one of their Hummer tours near Pigeon Forge.
As soon as I arrived we were ready to take off for the Hummer tour. I was very excited but had no clue what to expect. I didn’t really know what a Hummer tour was and I knew that the ride could possibly be a bust. Little did I know that the Hummer tour is actually an off-road adventure in the mountains. I had a blast!
When I was climbing into the vehicle I asked the driver what the best seat of the vehicle would be. He pointed me to the very back row. Fortunately the Hummers are customized at Outdoor Adventures of the Smokies so the rows of seats are elevated very similar to theatre seating. I could see everything I wanted to see from the back seat, and it was the most bumpy seat of the house.
I wasn’t really expecting the ride on the Hummer tour near Pigeon Forge to be that bumpy. When I buckled my seat belt I kept it loose enough to where I could wiggle around if I wanted, but as soon as we pulled onto the off-road trail I had to adjust my seat belt to be as tight as possible. It was the only thing holding me in the vehicle!
The Hummer tour near Pigeon Forge was so much fun. I’ve never been mudding or off-roading so I was so at times I was scared but the driver seemed confident that he was under control. There were times when the vehicle would slide in the mud. There were times when I felt like I was staring at a 90 degree angled hill. There were times when I couldn’t stop laughing because I was so elated. Times were good…..I’ll definitely have to go again.
