If you are still searching for the perfect summer vacation destination to get away with a loved one, escape the house with the kids, or host a group retreat, look no further than Pigeon Forge, TN Cabins! You can have all the fun of swimming and sunshine while soaking in the soul-stirring beauty of the Smoky Mountains, exploring the historical stops like Cades Cove, and playing among the numerous exciting attractions like Dollywood, WonderWorks, and Anakeesta.
Dollywood’s Splash Country and Wild Bear Falls Waterpark are packed with aquatic playgrounds, impressive waterslides, and poolside lounging, but what if you could enjoy your own indoor pool in the privacy of your own cabin? Check out our stunning Pigeon Forge cabins with pools! From the gorgeous large group lodges to romantic hideaways in the mountains, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee Cabins boasts a wide selection of cabins with indoor pools to fit your particular summer vacation. Below are our favorite ways to take advantage your cabin’s pool, cabin communities with outdoor pool access, and other cabin amenities to make this the best summer, yet!
Games to Play with the Kids
No matter what size your cabin’s pool may be, there are some fantastic games you can bring from home to keep the little ones entertained while you relax.
(Most of these games listed below are available in most chain retail stores, Walmart, Target, Kmart, etc.)
Hydro Basketball Hoop
This one is pretty easy for the kids to get a handle of. It’s basketball, in the pool. Teach them to play the classic game of Horse, shooting from the shallow end, from a couple feet outside the pool, or performing underwater dunks by summersaulting in the water and popping up for the perfect dunk. You can also turn it into a full-fledged game of 2-on-2 by “checking it up” on the pool’s staircase and dribbling the ball by pushing the water around the ball to move on the “court.” The inflatable hoop and ball set are usually pretty cheap, somewhere under $20!
Tic Tac Toss Inflatable Pool Game
This cool floating board comes with palm-sized balls in two colors so the kids can toss their ball towards their desired square on the Tic-Tac-Toe game from in or outside the pool!
Pool Volleyball
Just like the inflatable basketball hoop, you can also opt for an inflatable volleyball net! The net is supported on the sides of the pool with little weights to hold the net in place in the water as you all splash and dive to hit the miniature volleyball across to the other team’s side. Parents can play in the deep end to even up the playing field with volleyball games against the kids.
Floating Cornhole
This game is a little pricier, but it is a fun one for kids and adults! The foam board is supported at an angle in the water to imitate the usual wooden Cornhole boards. (You can totally pull this game onto the lawn or the deck to play out of the water, too!) The pool-safe bean-bags will be tossed back and forth for so long the kids will have to be forced out of the pool for lunch.
Classic Sinking Toys
These come in all shapes and sizes and can be found just about anywhere. Sinking toys are a fantastic way to teach your more apprehensive swimmers to hold their breath and become comfortable in deeper waters. It’s also super easy to make it a timed competition with prizes like $20 to spend at The Island!
Indoor Pool Fun for Adults
Kids aren’t the only ones that are going to love having an indoor pool in the privacy of your Pigeon Forge cabin. Many of the indoor pools have poolside lounging areas to relax in between doing a few laps to keep up with your exercise routine (or stave off some of those extra calories from large dinners at The Old Mill). Guests can even relax in their own inflatable lounging floats while watching their favorite team play on flatscreen TVs mounted by the pool! Watch a movie on a projector screen, soak near an indoor waterfall, or watch the clouds pass over the mountains while floating around the pool-all this amazing fun is possible in a number of our cabins with indoor pools.
Cabins with Access to Community Pools
Of course, sitting poolside in the summer to catch some rays and relax in between dips is another staple of summer. If you would rather have the convenience of a pool within a few minutes of your cabin’s front door, instead of heading over to Dollywood’s Splash Country, simply book one of our Pigeon Forge, Tennessee Cabins that’s located within one of these reputable communities: Bear Creek Crossing, Sherwood Forest, Cedar Falls, and many more!
